Allcom Electric is seeking a qualified communications technician. Most of the work is large multiunit residential new construction and renovations. Allcom is the largest renovation Contractor in the Western United States. We are looking for an energetic self-motivated technician with good communication, organizational skills, and strong customer service skills.

Duties Include:

• Install, program, and troubleshoot Fire Alarms, CCTV systems, Access control, and Voice/Data
• Able to install the proper cabling for the scope of work
• Being familiar with Fiber, Coaxial cable, CAT 5, Cat 5e, Cat 6, CAT 6e
• Create and maintain drawings and accurate documentation on installation paperwork for all systems
• Must have ability to solve problems as they arise
• Aptitude to learn new technology as it changes

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years experience with Security and Fire Alarms
• Basic knowledge of construction and electrical wiring
• Knowledge of NFPA 72, CBC, NFPA 70 and local fire codes
• Basic Computer Skills – PC, Networks, Wireless etc
• Fire Life Safety card is a plus
• Must have a clean DMV record and pass background check
• High School Diploma
• Pass pre-employment drug screening

• T. or Journeyman card
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience
• Knowledge of NEC and local codes
• Must be able to read plans and wire apartment units
• Ability to communicate with others and work as a team
• Clean DMV record
• Pass pre-employment drug screening
